Ubiquiti SFP Wizard is a compact device designed for working with optical modules in network infrastructure. It enables copying profiles from third-party modules to Ubiquiti modules, ensuring universal compatibility within the UniFi ecosystem. The device supports SFP, SFP+, SFP28, QSFP+ and QSFP28 formats, covering a wide range of optical transmission technologies.
The integrated 1.9" touchscreen display provides clear control of all functions directly on the device. The built-in Li-ion battery with 300 mAh capacity provides up to 75 minutes of continuous SFP module diagnostics with the laser enabled, or 35 minutes when working with QSFP modules. Connection to the UniFi mobile app via Bluetooth Low Energy enables firmware updates and advanced module recovery features.
Compatibility and Limitations
SFP Wizard supports most Ubiquiti and third-party optical modules. Copying and diagnostics functions are available for most models, while writing is limited exclusively to Ubiquiti modules. UISP Fiber/GPON modules and UniFi SFP+ to RJ45 adapter are not supported.
UniFi Mobile App
The UniFi mobile app is not required for basic SFP Wizard functions. However, the app is needed for OTA firmware updates of the device and for the Ubiquiti module factory reset recovery process. Supported versions: UniFi iOS 10.29.1 and later, UniFi Android 10.30.2 and later.
Power and Charging
The device is powered by a built-in rechargeable Li-ion battery with 3.7 V DC voltage. Charging is done via USB-C interface at 5 V DC / 0.5 A. Maximum power consumption of the device is 0.6 W.
