Wireless door and window state sensor with proprietary SuperLink technology and exceptional battery life.
The UniFi Entry Sensor is a compact wireless device designed to monitor the opening and closing of doors or windows within the UniFi Protect ecosystem. The sensor uses proprietary SuperLink technology operating at a frequency of 865.1–869.5 MHz and offers an impressive range of up to 2 km. Thanks to its power-saving mode and high-quality CR123A lithium battery, it delivers up to 6 years of battery life under standard use.
The sensor consists of two parts – the main electronic module and a magnetic unit. Detection is based on a reed switch, which responds to the magnet’s proximity up to 30 mm. The device features a status LED (red/blue/white), a signal LED (blue/red), a factory reset control, a function button, and a tamper switch for unauthorized-access detection.
Integration with UniFi Protect
The sensor is fully compatible with the UniFi Protect web and mobile apps for iOS™ and Android™. The function button allows easy device identification in the interface – when pressed, the sensor is highlighted on its device page. A SuperLink Gateway is required for communication.
Battery life optimization
The sensor operates in a sleep mode with minimal power consumption. Actual battery life depends on the frequency of door or window openings – with fewer than 10 events per day, it can last up to 6 years, while higher frequency proportionally reduces battery life. Low temperatures may also reduce battery performance.
Certification and compatibility
The device meets the FCC, IC, and CE certifications for its respective regions and is NDAA compliant. The polycarbonate housing ensures durability and long service life during normal use.
