Advanced hybrid inverter/charger with integrated GX device for comprehensive energy system management.
MultiPlus-II GX is a powerful DC-AC hybrid inverter/charger with pure sine wave output, integrated adaptive battery charger and ultra-fast power source transfer switch (battery/external AC source). The device provides continuous power of 4 kW at 230 V AC voltage and offers charging current up to 55 A for fast battery charging.
Thanks to the integrated Wi-Fi module and VE.Direct port, the device can be remotely monitored and controlled via VRM portal or mobile application. BMS-Can interface ensures compatibility with modern batteries with CAN bus communication, while Ethernet port provides stable network connection for advanced applications.
Advanced PowerControl and PowerAssist functions
PowerControl function allows setting maximum grid consumption, while PowerAssist automatically supplements power from batteries when the set limit is exceeded. These functions are ideal for applications with limited connection capacity.
Integrated GX device
Built-in GX device provides USB port, Ethernet interface and VE.Direct communication for connecting additional Victron Energy devices. It also enables remote monitoring via VRM portal and mobile applications.
Solar energy
MultiPlus-II can be used both in off-grid (island) systems and in photovoltaic systems permanently connected to the distribution grid. MultiPlus-II is not equipped with PV array input, but is designed to work with MPPT controllers (DC coupling systems) or grid inverters (AC coupling systems) located on AC input and/or AC output.
Two AC outputs
Main AC1 output ensures uninterrupted power supply. For example, in UPS mode, MultiPlus-II takes over power supply of connected appliances (in less than 20 milliseconds) in case of grid or generator failure. The second AC output is functional only when AC input is available (grid/generator). Load that would quickly discharge batteries, such as water heater, can therefore be connected to this output and will be powered only from AC source.
ESS: Energy Storage Systems
MultiPlus-II is a key component in Victron Energy ESS system, which provides flexibility for combination with solar MPPT controllers or grid PV inverters.
Virtually unlimited power thanks to parallel and three-phase operation
Up to 6 MultiPlus-II units can work in parallel to achieve higher power. Three units of the same type can be configured for three-phase operation with phase shift. But that's not all, up to 6 parallel units can form one phase. Three-phase system can thus consist of up to 18 units with total continuous output power of 75kW/90kVA and charging power of 1200 A.
System configuration
- In case of simple e.g. UPS installation, settings can be easily made in a few minutes using DIP switches on MultiPlus-II GX or VE.Configure 3 software and PC.
- Parallel and 3-phase applications can be configured using VE.Bus Quick Configure software (up to 3 units) or more complex systems using VE.Bus System Configurator software (over 3 units) and PC.
- Off-grid and hybrid PV installations for self-consumption support and greater energy independence, which include grid inverters and/or solar MPPT chargers, can be configured using VE.Configure 3 software with appropriate assistants (specialized functions for specific applications).
- MultiPlus-II GX has several programmable relays and auxiliary contacts for a wide range of additional functions.
- Basic VE.Configure 3 and other configuration software can be downloaded free of charge from the manufacturer's website.
For the mentioned software you will need PC communication interface MK3-USB.

MultiPlus-II offers many operating variants and is capable of providing solutions for a range of user requirements. Here we present the most common operating modes for illustration:
1. Basic installation of MultiPlus-II GX unit with external digital multifunction panel (optional). Designed for systems where grid is not always available (typically caravans, boats), UPS mode.

2. Basic installation of MultiPlus-II GX unit with digital multifunction panel (optional). Designed for systems where grid is not always available (typically caravans, boats), UPS mode.

3. Hybrid solar system ESS (Energy Storage System) concept. DC-coupling concept using MPPT solar controller with placement of non-backup loads outside MultiPlus-II GX and using current sensor.

4. Hybrid solar system ESS (Energy Storage System) concept. AC coupling concept using grid PV inverter located on AC out-1 (only Fronius brand inverters). Loads on AC out-1 are powered primarily from photovoltaics and/or battery, in case of insufficient energy or inverter overload also from grid.
